Science behind EBG programme
Eyebraingym™ provides an opportunity to strengthen our brains’ neural-plasticity, creating more pathways and connections in our brains. Our mental processes such as recognising what we see and understanding what we read depend on our eye to brain neural connections. The more efficient and accurate these neural pathways are, the stronger our brains’ visual intelligence function.
Eyebraingym™ will help us to quickly and easily retrieve and use information that is stored in our brains through the development of neural plasticity. First of all, it will help us to improve the accuracy and efficiency of our eye movement patterns in the reading process. It will also facilitate the improvement of our language development, vocabulary, reading level and reading comprehension. This means that we will become faster readers while also increasing the understanding of the words that we are reading. Furthermore, the combination of these factors strengthens existing neural pathways and creates new neural connections, developing higher thinking skills such as analyzing, problem solving, critical thinking and creative thinking.
Lobes of the Brain
The four lobes of the brain are the frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital lobes (Figure 1).
The frontal lobe is located in the forward part of the brain. It is involved in reasoning, motor control, emotion, and language (related to recognising words and word meanings). It contains the motor cortex, which is involved in planning and coordinating movement; the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for higher-level cognitive functioning; and Broca’s area, which is essential for language production. The EBG/FitBrains Program is designed mainly to strengthen the functioning of the prefrontal cortex.
EBG/FitBrains also enhances the users’ memory which is situated in the temporal lobe found on the side of the head (temporal means “near the temples”).
And finally, the occipital lobe, which is located at the very back of the brain, is also targeted in the EBG/FitBrains Program as it contains the primary visual cortex, which is responsible for interpreting incoming visual information.

FitBrains is a customised 8-week training program that uses dynamic, interactive games and activities to strengthen our brains’ functions. This program has consistently proven for the past 30 years that it positively re-shapes users’ brains and re-wires the way they interact with visual information, resulting in improved Visual Intelligence.
